Description
New House Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 18th century and was extended in the early 19th century with some minor later alterations. It is constructed from roughcast limestone rubble and has a graded slate roof. The original house consists of three bays and appears to have been extended to the left in the early 19th century. The building has three storeys and a four-window front, featuring three windows from the original house on the right and one window from the 19th-century extension on the left. The ground and first floors have segmental-headed 19th-century casements, with a three-light window on the first floor and another window directly below the eaves on the second floor. There is a 20th-century casement window inserted to the far left. The entrance is located in the centre bay of the 18th-century house and features a flush six-panel door, with the top panels now glazed, situated under a gabled trellised porch. There is an integral end stack with a red brick shaft to the right and a ridge stack at the junction between the 18th and 19th-century parts of the building. At the rear, there is a full-length two-storey lean-to.
