Lodge. C17 with C18 alterations. Painted timber-framed first floor underbuilt with stone rubble, low pitch slate roof with projecting verge with bargeboards. To rear are lateral brick projecting stone chimneys with brick shafts. Plan of 4 framed bays with dividing stone cross wall indicating 2 former separate units. C20 single-storey extension to rear. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Front is 4-window range of 2-light casements, 2 with original leaded lights and 2 restored. Ground floor with C20 front door, single casement with leaded light to left, flanked by 2-light casements with leaded lights. Right-hand gable-end: C20 hipped 2-storey bay window with multi-pane casements. Left-hand gable-end: C20 multi-pane casements under brick segmental arches. Rear: 4 framed bays as front. 2-light casements to centre with leaded lights. To right is a stone and brick stack. To left: single-storey slate-roofed gabled and lean-to extension with restored and C20 windows and doors. INTERIOR: single trenched purlin roof. Internal trusses of reused timber to form low-pitch truss of straight tie beam interrupted by doorway posts and collar.
