Description
The screen wall, dating from the early 19th century, is located approximately 5 metres south of Hardwicke Lodge. It is likely designed by Thomas Harrison of Chester and is constructed from grey sandstone ashlar. The wall stands about 2-3 metres high and extends 3 metres in length. It features a chamfered plinth and chamfered coping, which steps up to the right. A gate and gate pier that were formerly attached to the right were dismantled at the time of the survey in January 1986. This wall is part of the entrance screen that adjoins Hardwicke Lodge and is included for its group value.
