Description

The screen wall, built in the early 19th century for the Duke of St Albans Estate, is located approximately 60 metres north of Wood Rising. It is constructed from squared limestone with ashlar dressings and measures about 80 metres in length and 3 metres in height. The wall features coped crenellations and runs alongside a former road through the Park, serving as a screen for the grounds of the Hall to the south. It is contemporary with the arcaded screen wall east of The Cloisters and is included for its group value.
