Description
Gates and gate piers adjoining Tern Lodge to the east date from the late 18th century or early 19th century, and are probably designed by John Nash. The structure features three square gate piers made of grey sandstone ashlar, each with plinths and pyramidal caps. The central pair of wrought iron gates includes spear-head railings, circular-patterned dog-rails with spear-heads, and low arrow-head dog-rails. Flanking the gates are wrought iron panels with pierced spear-head railings, along with a circular-patterned top rail, dog-rails, and pierced arrow-head dog bars.
