Description

The base of a churchyard cross, located about 25 yards south of the chancel of the Church of St Nicholas, is possibly from the 14th or 15th century. It is made of sandstone and has an octagonal shape with run-out chamfers. There is a small niche on the east side and a socket on the top for the shaft. Similar niches can be found on many churchyard cross bases in Herefordshire.
