WORMBRIDGE CP - SO 43 SW 2/59 Wormbridge court 26.1.67 GV II

Farmhouse. Early C18. Brick with tiled roof. Rectangular plan aligned south-west/north-east with axial stack and lateral stack to north-east. Single storey and attic. North-west front: string course, projecting gables to left and right with raised verges and pilasters and central gable with raised verges and finial. 1:1:1:1:1 bays with paired glazing bar sash windows, dormer windows to intermediate bays; ground floor of central gabled bay has two paired sash windows recessed in segmental headed arches. Entrance in lean-to porch in angle to right of left projecting gable, part glazed door. Interior contains late C16 or early C17 chimney piece; fire- place flanked by Ionic pilasters with strapwork decoration surmounted by overmantel of two stages and three bays with grotesque figures and foliage, fluted frieze to capping.
