Description

Old Hall Cottages and the attached stock barn are houses that date back to the 17th century, with later alterations and an attached range from the 18th or 19th century on the right. The buildings feature a timber-frame structure with plaster and brick infill, along with a painted rubble panel. They have a plain tile roof with twin gables on the left front and three brick ridge stacks, with one from the 19th century and two from the 20th century.

The exterior is two storeys high and has a five-window range. On the right side, there is a 17th-century two-light casement with leaded lights, an altered 17th-century casement, and an 18th-century two-light casement. There are also two 20th-century three-light casements with simple hoods on the left. The entrance to No. 1 is located in the centre left and features a 20th-century glazed and panelled door, with two 20th-century casements under simple hoods to the left. The entrance to No. 2 is in the centre right and has a 19th-century part-glazed six-panel door in a moulded wood architrave, under a simple metal hood, flanked by two 20th-century three-light casements under simple wood hoods.

On the left returned side, there is a 19th-century metal casement in a moulded case above a 20th-century casement. The rear has a parallel rubble wing with two 20th-century metal casements in the gable, and four 20th-century windows and two doors under brick segmental arches.

The attached range from the 18th or 19th century on the right is also two storeys high and has five openings, including a 20th-century light under a circular opening in the gable and four loft openings under brick segmental arches. There is a 20th-century door and casement to the left, along with various openings and entrances. Originally built as a stable and stock barn, one bay has been converted into a cottage in the 20th century. The interiors have not been inspected.
