Description
The Old Cider House, located approximately 15 meters south-west of Treribble Farmhouse, is a former granary block dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations. It features English bond brickwork and ashlar dressings, topped by a hipped slate roof with swept eaves. The building has a rectangular plan and entrances located at the center of the main front and on the sides. It stands two storeys tall and includes rusticated quoins, a string course, and a coved cornice. There are two windows: cross-casements with solid frames and leaded lights flanking an inserted doorway on the first floor, and replaced cross-casements on the ground floor. A central half dormer contains a casement window. Together with the nearly identical former stable block to the south-east and the centrally placed Treribble house, this building contributes to an interesting architectural composition.
