Description

The churchyard cross, located about 10 yards southwest of the southwest corner of the Church of St John of Jerusalem, is a Grade II listed structure. It likely dates from the 13th and 14th centuries and is made of sandstone ashlar. The cross features a square base with chamfered corners and has a stump of the shaft that rises about two feet high. Inscribed on the top of the east side of the shaft is the year "1701".
