Description

This is a 17th-century building, formerly known as the Nags Head Inn, situated on the east side of High Street. It is three storeys high, with a cellar, and built of colourwashed brick and rubble. The rear of the building has a rounded end that faces onto Old Gloucester Road. The original fenestration included four three-light sash windows, and one window has been blocked up. Some 17th-century doors remain inside. Local tradition suggests the inn was frequented by John Kyrle. The building now incorporates large, modern shops.
