Description

Copse House is a building with a lower section dating to around 1600 and an upper section rebuilt in the 18th century. It is two storeys high with dormers and a basement. The exterior is roughcast over red sandstone, with a sprocketed hipped slate roof. Rusticated quoins are visible at the left-hand end. A high, moulded stone plinth runs along the base. A doorway is topped with a moulded architrave, flanked by round windows. A surviving 2-light window with moulded jambs and head is present in the basement. Inside, there is a 17th-century staircase.
