Description

The Rosswyn Hotel, formerly known as Chepstow House, dates to the 17th century. It is a three-storey building constructed of colourwashed brick and stone, with rusticated quoins. The front elevation features four sash windows with flat arches, architraves, and keyblocks. A doorway is topped with an open pediment, flanked by pilasters, and features entablature blocks. The interior is reported to contain a 17th-century staircase and a room containing reset early 17th-century panelling, including a carved frieze and overmantel. Original 17th-century panelled doors are also present.
