Description

This churchyard cross, located about 15 yards south of the chancel of the Church of SS Phillip and James, is probably from the 14th century. It is made of sandstone and features a square plinth beneath a large cubic chamfered base, which has a pointed niche on its west face. The shaft is truncated and topped with a late 19th century or early 20th century capping that supports a copper sundial from the 19th century.
