Description

This is a group of six buildings, numbered 52 to 58, located on the west side of The Homend. Dating from the 17th century, the buildings originally featured timber framing with brick infilling. The roofs are tiled with gabled ends. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic. The west elevation has casement windows. An outshut and a passageway run through the buildings, with doorways leading to numbers 54 and 56. These doorways are distinguished by moulded architraves with cornices; number 56 has a fielded panel door. At the end of the passageway is an elliptical wooden arch with a keyblock and cornice. A wing at the east side, number 58, is timber-framed, with the ground floor faced in 19th-century brick.
