Description

These early to mid-19th century buildings at 70 and 72, The Homend, are constructed of red brick with a tiled roof and gable ends. The property is three storeys high and has two windows. The ground and second floors have sash windows with vertical glazing bars set within flat brick arches. The first floor of number 72 features a canted bay with a curved soffit. The first floor bay of number 70 has been replaced with a modern casement window. A panelled door is located on either side of the building, each with a hood supported by shaped brackets and a rectangular fanlight above. The buildings are listed for their contribution to the group value of the street.
