Description

60 The Homend is a small timber-framed cottage, likely dating from the 16th century. It has one storey and an attic, with the ground floor faced in painted brick and timber-framing above that features plastered panels. The cottage has two flat-headed dormers and a pantile roof with gable ends. On the ground floor, there are three modern casement windows and a doorway to the right, which is topped with a simple hood supported by shaped brackets. The centre roof truss is a cruck. This building is situated behind No 50 and adjoins Nos 52 to 58. Nos 34 to 60 (even) and Nos 64 to 74 (even) form a group.
