Description
The Dormers is an 18th-century house with additions from the mid-19th century and alterations from the 20th century. The original core is timber-framed with rendered infill, while later additions are of painted brick. The roof is tiled. The house has two framed bays aligned north-west/south-east, facing northeast, with a slightly-set-back brick addition attached to the southeast. The entrance is central to the later brick block. A lateral stack is centrally placed on the timber-framed section, and another axial stack is to the right of centre on the brick addition. The house is single-storey with an attic. The timber-framed section has two staggered casement windows, and the brick section has two 2-light windows in half-dormers. Two similar 3-light casement windows flank a forward projecting porch on the ground floor, which has a glazed door.
