Outbuilding About 25 Yards North West Of New Court Farmhouse

This building is a granary and stable, now used as a store, located about 25 yards north-west of New Court Farmhouse. It likely dates from the 18th century and is constructed of sandstone rubble with pantile and corrugated asbestos roofs. The structure consists of two parts, each with three bays, linked at an obtuse angle and aligned roughly east to west.

The west part has two levels, with the south elevation featuring a higher granary section on the left. This section includes tallet stairs that rise over a dog-kennel to a ledged door on the right-hand side, topped by a pantile roof. The right part has a central doorway that is segmentally headed with a brick arch, flanked by two-leaved doors on the right and a catslide lean-to on the left, which has a corrugated asbestos roof.

Inside the left part, there are interrupted tie-beams pegged to two vertical posts that support collars. The right part features raking struts from the ties to the principals. This building is included for its group value.
