Description
The stable and granary located about 10 yards south-east of Kintley Farmhouse dates back to the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with some timber-framing, featuring brick and wattle-and-daub infill, and has a slate roof. The building consists of three bays and two levels. The framing includes collar and tie-beam trusses with two collars and struts at the gable ends. The south end truss has been altered and includes subsidiary rails.
On the main west elevation, there is a shuttered opening on the ground floor and two loft doors, one of which is accessed by a flight of external rubble steps. To the right, there is a door with a timber lintel. At the south gable, there is a loft opening and a small, partly weatherboarded, timber-framed wing that is one bay wide and one storey tall.
