Description

The Wood is a house dating from around 1800, located in Whitney on Wye. It is constructed from rubble with a hipped slate roof featuring overhanging eaves and rear stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows are 12-pane sashes with rusticated lintels and ashlar sills. The central entrance is highlighted by a flat-roofed timber porch and a partly-glazed panelled door. There is also a two-storey wing at the rear right of the house.
