Description
Brockhill Farmhouse is a 17th-century cottage farmhouse located on Mathon Road in Colwall. It features a timber-frame construction with tiled roofs and is arranged in two ranges. The front range has three bays and a large local type rubble stack with a detached brick shaft to the right. It is one storey with an attic and includes a 20th-century wide dormer that is set off-centre. There are three irregular casement windows on the ground floor, and the entrance is in a 19th-century brick extension, which also has a chimney, located at the left gable. The rear range, which is in echelon, is also timber-framed, one storey with an attic, and has an extruded stack to the right. There is a rear extension from around 1962 that is not of special interest and overlaps with a subsidiary range. Inside, the farmhouse features heavy beams with such deep chamfers that 'V' sections are created.
