Description

The gate piers and gates adjoining the east side of the outbuilding at Caradoc Court are likely from the mid-19th century. They are made of finely cut sandstone ashlar and oak. The gate piers are square in shape, rising to dentilled cornices and curved bases, each topped with a large egg-shaped finial. The gates are two-leaved, with each top rail curving down to the junction. There is a round finial on the end posts of each gate, and each leaf features five low bars. These features contribute to their group value.
