Description

This is a timber-framed barn, likely dating from the early 17th century. It is situated approximately 55 metres north of Little Goytre. The barn is built on a sandstone rubble plinth and has a pantiled roof. Some sections retain weatherboard cladding, with remnants of woven infill also present. The barn consists of three bays aligned north/south, containing a central threshing floor. The timber framing features two square panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate. The gable end has three struts supporting the collar, and the roof is supported by inclined strut trusses.
