Description

Penrhos Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to 1771, with alterations and additions from the late 19th century and 20th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared sandstone rubble, rendered to the rear, with a Welsh slate roof. The building is a rectangular range aligned north-east/south-west, featuring a late 19th-century addition to the north-east end that incorporates a former end stack. A second stack is located to the south-west gable. The farmhouse is two storeys and attics in height.

The south-east front has a central pediment-gable with a Venetian window and a datestone bearing illegible initials above the keystone. This is flanked by gabled dormers containing 2-light casement windows. Three 3-light windows are present on the first floor, each with a flat arched lintel and a pronounced keystones. Similar windows are found in the late 19th-century addition to the right. Similar windows flank the central doorway, which features a plain overlight and a panelled door. A large 20th-century window is located on the ground floor of the addition to the right.
