Description

Stonecrop is a cottage, likely dating from the 18th century, with additions and alterations made in the mid-20th century. It is timber-framed with plaster infill, covered by a Welsh slate roof, and has a stone external end stack with a brick shaft. The cottage originally comprised two timber-framed bays aligned east to west, with a full-height, one-bay extension added to the west in the 20th century. The cottage has one storey and an attic. The south-facing elevation features three windows and mid-20th century dormers with raking tops. It also has 20th-century glazing bar windows situated either side of a glazing porch, centrally located to the right. The extension has two casement windows, each with two lights. Internally, the cottage retains a complete cross-wall and heavy ceiling beams. Complete roof trusses are said to be present.
