Description
No. 24 Church Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a 20th-century composite tile roof, with a brick stack at the rear. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar, featuring a three-window range with 6/6 sash windows in moulded cases set under segmental arches. There is a storey band and brick modillion eaves, which are interrupted by an 8/8 sash window in the central gable. The central entrance consists of a six-fielded-panel door with an ornamental overlight, which is sheltered by a moulded wood flat hood supported by scrolled brackets. This entrance is flanked by 6/6 sash windows under segmental arches, with a storey band above. The right side of the building has returned storey bands and a casement window in the gable. At the rear, there are twin gable wings. The interior has not been inspected.
