Description
The ciderhouse, located about 10 yards east of Brockhill Farmhouse, is a building from the mid-19th century that has been converted into a loose box and store. It is constructed of rubble with a tiled roof and stands two stories tall, featuring four bays. The building has regular 19th-century casements, with two windows on each floor, and a central entrance accessed through a ledged door. There is an external stair on the right side leading to a first-floor entrance. To the left of the ciderhouse is a truncated hop kiln, which is not of special interest. Inside, the right-hand room on the ground floor contains a complete cider press and yoke. The roof is supported by interrupted tie-beam trusses, with machine-cut king-posts and upper cruck-like curved principals.
