Description

No. 40 High Street is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall with a dormer. It is constructed of red brick and features rusticated quoins. The façade includes two sash windows that have flat arches and keyblocks. The entrance is marked by a doorway topped with an elliptical pediment, which rests on a moulded cornice supported by enriched corbels. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 28 to 40 High Street.
