Description

This is a 17th-century building located on the North Side of High Street. Originally known as The Saracen's Head and later as "Serendipity," it now incorporates the building at number 13. The building is three storeys high, with an attic and cellar. The South front retains exposed timber framing, featuring close-set studs and roughcast panels. The top two floors project outwards on moulded bressummers, which are decorated with egg and dart and running ornaments, and are supported by corbels carved in the form of men's heads. Three sash windows are present. The building forms a group with the King's Head Hotel at numbers 9 and 11.
