Description

Woodyetts, originally listed as Woodgate Cottage, is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill, a sandstone rubble plinth, and a stack with diagonal brick shafts. The roof is covered in Welsh slate. The house follows an L-shaped plan, with the main wing running east to west and a cross-wing extending south at the east end. It has axial stacks, and the entrance is on the south front. The house is single-storey with an attic. The south front features a central gable containing two two-light casement windows with glazing bars. On the ground floor are two four-pane windows to the left and two two-light casement windows to the right, alongside a ledged door. The gable end of the cross-wing extends further to the right and is partly weatherboarded. A decorative bargeboard is present on the west gable end.
