Description

This is an open shelter and belvedere located in Upper Colwall, designed by Lieutenant Colonel A. H. Boulton, DSO, of the 13th Gloucestershire Regiment, built between 1914 and 1918. The structure is made of cast iron and features eight columns with foliated capitals supporting a hipped slate roof. It has a rectangular plan and includes four wooden benches arranged to face each of the cardinal points within a panelled rectangle. A plaque commemorating Boulton is positioned on the east side of the shelter.
