Description
This is a barn located on the south side of a foldyard, approximately 50 meters northeast of Pembridge Castle. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of sandstone rubble. The roof is partly covered with stone slates and partly with 20th-century corrugated asbestos. The barn features seven bays and has a central threshing floor with wooden draught doors and a lift on the south side. There are three rows of loop vents and weatherboarded gables, with inclined strut trusses supporting the structure. The barn forms the southern enclosure of the foldyard, with stables to the east and another barn and granary to the north. An adjoining cow shed is not included in this listing.
