Description

Grosmont Bridge is a road bridge that spans the River Monnow, built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with sandstone ashlar dressings. The bridge features a single-span design with a broad semi-circular headed arch that has a prominent keystone. On either side of the arch, there are circular flood relieving openings, and the bridge is further supported by slightly projecting plain abutments. A plain parapet is carried on a corbel table.
