Description
Sausethorpe Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse with later 19th-century additions, located on the south side of Kinoulton Main Street. It is constructed of red brick and features plain tile roofs with end stacks; the main range has an integral stack with the left addition. Each range has a dentil eaves cornice. The building is two storeys tall, with the additions being lower. The main range is three bays wide and symmetrical, while there are two-bay additions at each end, with the right addition set back slightly. The main range includes a central six-panel door with an overlight and front arch, flanked by six-pane sash windows on either side, each with a shallow segmental head and raised cill. There are three similar windows on the first floor. The right addition has two similar sash windows on each floor, while the left addition features one similar sash window on the ground floor and evidence of blocked openings, along with two square-headed sashes on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
