Description

This is a pair of headstones located 12 meters south of the chancel at the Church of St Mary and All Saints. They date from 1704 and 1721 and are made of slate. The headstone on the left features a square top with an incised angel, flanked by an hourglass and crossbones, and is inscribed to William Stevenson, 1704. The similar headstone on the right also has an incised angel and a verse inscription, dedicated to Mary Stevenson, 1721.
