Description
This is a barn located 10 meters south west of Brinkley Hall Farmhouse, dating from around 1780, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The barn is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof with coped gables. It has four bays. The northeast front has an altered off-centre opening that includes a pair of segment-headed doors, which are flanked by single buttresses. On either side of the doors, there are patterned breathers arranged in two tiers, with three on the left and seven on the right. To the right, there is also a segment-headed stable door. The rear of the barn has similar openings, including full-size barn doors and slit breathers, as well as a square hatch above the stable door. The roof is a double butt purlin design, primarily made of reused timber. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
