Description

Norwell House is a former coach house, dating from the early 19th century, that has been converted into a house. It underwent alterations in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a hipped slate roof. Features include a plinth, cogged eaves, and a slightly projecting centre. The windows are glazing bar sashes with rubbed brick heads. The two-storey facade has a three-window range. A blocked central elliptical arched carriage opening now contains a window. To the right of this is a smaller window, and to the left, a 20th-century door and overlight, alongside a steel garage door. The building may have originally served as an ancillary structure to No. 31, a Regency house. It is included on the list for its group value.
