Description
Regency House is a late 18th-century house with mid 19th-century additions and alterations, located on the southeast side of Westgate in Southwell. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof. It has a plinth, chamfered eaves, and three side wall stacks along with two roof stacks. The windows are glazing bar sashes with rubbed brick heads, and the house is three storeys high with a three-window range. The front of the house includes a full-height round-headed recess and three windows on each floor, with the second-floor windows being smaller. To the right, there is a slightly set-back two-storey addition featuring two smaller sash windows. The entrance has a three-part glazed wooden doorway surround with a cornice and traceried upper panels, leading to a two-leaf eight-panel door.
