Description
The Coach House, along with an attached outbuilding and adjacent pump, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped pantile roof with a wooden eaves cornice. The building has two storeys and is divided into three bays. There are two round-arched doorways, each fitted with arched double plank doors and painted hinge blocks. To the left, there is a single similar arch that is partially blocked, now serving as a domestic doorway with a plank door beneath a segmental arch. Above this doorway, there are two glazing bar sashes, and to the left, a single similar partially blocked opening now has painted glazing bars above and a single Yorkshire sash below. To the right, there is a flight of brick and ashlar steps, partially covered by a pantile roof. Further to the right and set back is a single-storey, two-bay outbuilding with a pantile roof, which includes a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash and a doorway with a plank door. Adjacent to the outbuilding is a water pump made of wood, iron, and lead. There are additional single-storey outbuildings on either side, but these are not of special interest.
