Description

This is an early 19th-century house with 20th-century extensions, located on the north side of West End in Farndon. The house is built of red brick with a hipped slate roof and two red brick stacks. It sits on a rendered plinth and has two storeys and three bays, with the outer bays slightly projecting and the central bay projecting a little further, topped with a pediment. The central doorway has a panelled door and fanlight, reached by three steps, and is flanked by single Doric columns supporting an open pediment. There are single glazing bar sashes to either side of the doorway, with three sashes above, the central sash being smaller. All windows have flush wedge brick lintels. A two-storey, single-bay, red brick and hipped slate roof extension is set back to the right. A single red brick stack is located to the rear. Further features include a single glazing bar sash, a projecting brick and pantile open, single-storey porch, a single sash with marginal lights, and a single-storey canted bay. A two-storey wing of earlier build is situated at the rear.
