Description

Maley Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on Bleasby Road, Thurgarton. The building is constructed of red brick, with some ashlar and a render to the base. It has a plain tile roof and two red brick gable stacks, featuring dogtooth eaves. The cottage is of single storey plus attic, with three bays. A central doorway has a plank door and an ashlar dripmould. Single-pane Yorkshire sash windows are located on either side of the doorway. All ground-floor openings are set within segmental arches. The attic contains two rendered and gabled dormers, each with a single-pane Yorkshire sash window. To the right, set back from the main cottage, is a single-storey outbuilding constructed of brick and pantiles. To the left is a similar brick and pantile outbuilding, distinguished by dentil eaves.
