Description
The Coach House, now a house, was originally built as a stable block in 1818. It is constructed of brick with a cement render finish, and has a hipped slate roof with wide eaves and two rendered ridge stacks. The building stands on a plinth and is arranged over one and a half storeys, with five bays. The central bay slightly projects and is topped with a pediment inscribed with the date 1818. Five round-headed recessed panels are present, with impost detail. The central panel contains a round-arched sash window with glazing bars. Either side are single, similar, low sashes. A doorway with a double door incorporating glazing bars and a round-arched fanlight is located to the left, and a doorway with a panelled door and a similar fanlight is to the right. Above the central bay, there are two small glazing bar sashes; the original design included a single semi-circular window in this position. Further bays on either side also contain pairs of glazing bar sashes. Projecting from the right side of the building is a single-storey, four-bay wing with a rendered finish and hipped slate roof, set on a plinth. This wing features a single sash window with glazing bars, followed by an opening with a wooden shutter. Further right is a similar sash and then a single sash with a shutter.
