Description
Number 69 is a house dating from around 1840, located on Church Street in Southwell. It is built of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building features a plinth, cogged eaves, and two gable stacks that were rebuilt in the late 20th century. The windows are mid-19th century plain sashes, and the openings have rubbed brick heads. The house is two storeys high and has a two-window range in an L-plan layout. The entrance consists of a slightly off-centre six-panel door with an overlight, flanked by single windows. Attached to the house is a dwarf brick boundary wall that has chamfered stone coping and square piers with stone caps. There is also a wrought iron spearhead railing and gate. This property is included for its group value.
