Description
The boundary wall and gates at Boughton Pumping Station were built in 1905. They are constructed from red and blue brick with ashlar coping and feature a chamfered plinth. The structure includes 23 square brick piers topped with ashlar caps and has stepped moulded coping. The main north gate is marked by larger square piers with domed caps and flanked by incurved walls. A pair of ornamental wrought iron gates is present at this entrance. The south gateway has similar piers and outcurved dwarf walls that support a six-bay wrought iron railing. The entire boundary wall is approximately 150 meters long.
