Description
A group of four headstones dating from the 18th century is located 100 metres southeast of the Church of St. John in Perlethorpe cum Budby. The headstones are made of ashlar. The leftmost stone features a scroll top with finials and a moulded border, dedicated to Hannah Clay, who died in 1740. Next to it is another scroll top stone for Rebekah Marshall, dated 1716. To the right is a gabled top stone for Robert Marshall, who died in 1706. The final stone on the right is a double stone with a shaped top and moulded border, commemorating Thomas Marshall, possibly from 1715, and Lydia Marshall, who died in 1747.
