Description
The pigeoncote at Syerston Hall, dating from around 1800, is constructed of red brick and features a pyramidal slate roof topped with a single central glazed lantern that has a pyramidal roof and a small ball finial. The structure has entrances for birds around the base on the west side and is set on a plinth. It is a single-storey building with two bays. Each side of the pigeoncote has two round-arched blind recessed panels with archivolts and a continuous impost band. On the north side, the left panel contains a doorway under a segmental arch. The left panel on the west side features a doorway under a cambered arch with a panelled door, while the right panel has a single louvred wooden opening with a glazing bar over light under a cambered arch. The east side's right panel also has a similar louvred opening. The eaves are decorated with dentils.
