Description

Kelham Bridge is a road bridge built in 1857. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features five segmental arches of varying sizes. The bridge has four canted ashlar-faced piers, chamfered ashlar soffits, and hood moulds. A chamfered string course runs along the structure, and there are corbelled ashlar pedestrian refuges. The coping is made of plain ashlar, although some parts have been renewed.
