Description
The pigeoncote and adjoining stable at Yew Tree Farm were built around 1798. They are constructed of brick and feature pantile roofs. The building has dentillated eaves and stepped coped gables with kneelers, and consists of one and two storeys across three bays. The pigeoncote has an east central stable door with a segmental head and an overlight. To the left of this door, there is a slatted casement. Above the door, there is a central square opening containing four tiers of pigeonholes. The south gable shows remains of a square opening above. The stable to the south has a balanced facade with two stable doors flanked by slatted openings and timber lintels. A later 19th-century stable is located to the left, featuring a slatted casement, and to the right, there is another stable door with a timber lintel. The adjoining late 19th-century stable is not included in this listing, which is noted for its group value only.
