Description
The boundary wall, gate piers, and gates at Carlton Hall date from the 18th and 19th centuries. The structure is made of brick and features ramped terracotta and ashlar copings. On the east side, which faces Church Street, there is a close boarded door with a hood mould to the left. To the right, the main gates are flanked by curved walls and four square brick piers. There are also a pair of square ashlar gatepiers with plinths, bands, and pyramidal caps, along with a pair of ornamental wrought iron gates. Further to the right, there is an entrance to a stable yard marked by a pair of square brick piers. Beyond this, the wall includes three elliptical blind arches and a door with a timber lintel. The west side of the wall features plain iron railing.
